In the early 2000's, this little sweet shoppe was known as Powell's- part of a candy franchise- ran by Nancy and Hal Carlson. In 2015 Nancy and Hal decided to own the candy store independently and renamed it Sweet Chico Confections. Hal is a Chico-local and they are both CSU grads. Their love for the community and their faithful dedication made Sweet Chico Confections one of the most popular dessert-places downtown! Upon their retirement in 2021, they sold their cherished business to Robin Klitzke. Robin has been in California since 2011, and had both of her children at Enloe Medical Center. She and her family are excited to carry on the Sweet Chico legacy and are serving the community with their full hearts!
